Position Summary:

As a PMO (Project Management Office) Business Analyst working closely with the COO, you will play a crucial role in supporting the COO’s strategic initiatives and operational objectives. You will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing efficient project management practices. Your primary focus will be on providing data-driven insights, developing reports and presentations, and facilitating effective decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning Support:
    – Collaborate with the COO to define and refine strategic goals and objectives.

    – Conduct research, perform data analysis, and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.

    – Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s business processes, operations, and industry trends.
  • Project Management:
    – Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects under the COO’s purview.

    – Conduct project feasibility studies, analyze risks, and propose mitigation strategies.

    – Create project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against key milestones.

    – Identify and communicate project-related issues, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

    – Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to the COO, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization:
    – Analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend process improvements.

    – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

    – Facilitate process mapping and redesign sessions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    – Develop metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboards to track process performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    – Collect and analyze data from various sources to derive meaningful insights and trends.

    – Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards to present findings to the COO and other stakeholders.

    – Provide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights to support decision-making.

    – Collaborate with IT and other teams to enhance data collection and reporting capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:

    – Foster effective relationships with stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, and project teams.

    – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, facilitate communication, and ensure alignment on project goals.

    – Coordinate meetings, workshops, and presentations to drive collaboration and maintain project momentum.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a business analyst or in a similar role within a PMO or operational setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
